With the release of their third compilation album, the Dreamville crew now has the No. 1 album in the country! Selling 115,000 units in the first week, this is the first time that a lot of the artists on the project have ever been at the top spot. Upon invitation via Dreamville golden tickets, Dreamville artists and friends were focused in the studio for 10 solid days.

Excitement started to increase over the course of these 10 days as fans were anticipating on who would show up to the sessions next. As previews of songs leaked throughout the sessions, fans were thirsty for more information about the album.

Good thing there were cameras there to capture the essence of this one of a kind experience within the Hip-Hop community. The collective released a 30 minute documentary three days prior the album, which showed the family oriented, yet competitive atmosphere in the studio.

The extensive guest list includes the likes of T.I. ,Smino , Saba , Buddy , Ski Mask The Slump God , Da Baby , Ty Dolla $ign , Vince Staples , REASON of the T.D.E. camp, Young Nudy , and more.

'Down Bad' is a Dreamville posse cut in which the crew talks about making it out of challenging situations, but through hard work they rose to the top. In a way, they are taunting their rap opponents about it now. "1993" is a smoked out stoner's anthem, the crew trades short verses as if they were in a smoke session. Buddy interrupts each rapper's verse symbolizing to remind them to pass the bud because they've held it too long while rapping.

"Sacrifices" is laced with a somber instrumental, where Johnny Venus of EARTHGANG, Smino, Saba and J. Cole each delve into their lives. They speak on the turmoil they've experienced and the many sacrifices that they had to make to get to this point in their careers.

In J. Cole's stellar verse, the Dreamville leader goes into detail about how he would go to extreme lengths to protect his wife. Then, in the next verse he details sacrifices that she has made for him throughout their relationship, and even drops the news that the couple is expecting their second child together!

It was reported that Buddy was the artist that hopped on the most songs due to his hunger and hyper active presence. J.I.D sounds ambitious every time that he gets near a microphone, so it's no surprise that he stands out among his peers on this record. On every track the leader of the pack J. Cole is on, he stands tall, as a seasoned vet should. Johnny Venus of EarthGang stands out due to his unorthodox vocal delivery, it's like you can hear the passion and pain cut through by way of his voice.

There were 34 artists and 27 producers present and with the competitive energy throughout the sessions they produced 148 songs in total! Somehow through tough decision making, they narrowed it down to 18 tracks. So that means there are 130 leftover songs from the sessions that might end up on other artists projects outside of the Dreamville camp, I'm excited to hear them!

Beyoncé 'Spirit' Gives Lion King Fans A Boost Of Excitement

The track opens with an strong yet powerful Swahili chant that translates to mean, "Long Live The King" . The singer and new voiceover for the character "Nala" in the live action remake, sings about the forthcoming king and his resiliency over lush strings and driving pianos complimented by a large chorus. The sensational song has that classic, grandiose Disney sound, but it's Beyoncé!

It will be placed on The Lion King (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) as well as The Lion King: The Gift, an album curated by Beyoncé which is inspired by The Lion King remake. The Lion King officially hits theaters, Friday, July 19th!

In a recent interview, Beyonce states that the album is a love letter to Africa. She wants to incorporate the best talent from Africa in order for it to be as authentic as possible. Mixing original chants and drums from Africa along with some of America's producers, she feels as if they havecreated a unique genre for the film.

The track list for The Lion King: The Gift recently was released. It includes features from, Beyoncé, Childish Gambino , Jay Z , Pharrell , Wizkid , Burna Boy , Kendrick Lamar , Tierra Whack , Blue Ivy Carter , and more.
