FENTY. THAT'S IT

LVMH and Rihanna have finally released the Fenty collection that was debuted in Paris. The collection seems to be more monochromatic with a lot of bulky shoulder tops and and uniquely structured denim jackets. The details included strap low heels, cinched waist, wide structured trousers, and clear color-tinted shades to compliment every look. According to Harper's Bazaar, this will make RiRi the first black women to oversee a fashion house under LV. After looking through the collection, I see that the approach was more toward changing the fashion dynamics of casual chic blazer suits and, of course, denim.
The creative direction of the promo video, in which was released right before the debut of the collection, was something that could've had some improvements. From my perspective, it was meant to put the collection in a every day scenery such as chilling with a friend, walking the busy city streets, or just simply being present in the world, etc. I wasn't to fond of the fast-forward speed of the video as well as the intermissions of directors changing the setting. However, for this being her first full Fenty collection with LVMH, the clothes look amazing and fashionably intriguing. I think there will be more in store for the FentyxLVMH collection and I can't wait to see Rihanna evolve as a fashion-forward icon.
