Hey guys! Being a college student, every school night, I try to pick out an outfit for the next day. I also do this because of course who doesn’t want that extra 5min snooze time??! I pick out even my simplest outfits the night before, trust me it will save you a lot of time in the morning.

Before I go to bed, I start to look at my options. Now, if you are in college or away from home you probably did not bring all your clothes, but that is still alright.

I start with thinking about what my day will consist of, for example, I think about how many classes I will have or if i’ll be mainly running errands that day. It depends on what your agenda is. For me, I tend to have less classes on Monday’s but have errands to run. So, when I’m picking out my outfit, I keep in mind that I need some sort of shoe that is comfortable and that will cover my toes *I hate running errands in sandals or heels but that’s just me* I then pick the shoe that I want to wear, the outfit you see below is an example of what i wore to class and to run errands.

The shoe that I chose was my Adidas Superstars. It does not necessarily have to be these; but, I picked them because I hadn't worn them in a while and they are one of my favorite pairs. Then, I asked myself if I want to wear something fitted or loose. I wanted something that was not suffocating to my legs. So, I chose these pink track pants by a Instagram brand called ‘Own Saviour’. They are super comfy, flowy and pink which is my favorite color! It‘s all about how you shop and what colors you mainly shop for. But we will discuss that in a later post.

Next, I found a dope top that would compliment my shoes if not my pants. I picked this ‘Feminist’ top that I brought from Forever 21. These shirts were kind of popular in the fashion world as far as plain words on black t-shirts. Many designers would include these shirts in their runway collections with their own particular messages on it. Especially messages of movements from the fashion perspective. I also wore a white watch with my Polish bottle side purse that I purchased from Aldo.

Bottom Line

Think about what your agenda is for the next day and then decide how you want to look and feel. For example, if you have multiple meetings set up for the next day, prepare an outfit that is appropriate for all meetings and make sure to bring extra shoes just to switch it up a bit. Sometimes you do not know where the day will take you so I always bring an extra shirt or pants because I’m typically clumsy!

The weather is also something that you should be mindful of when picking an outfit. I live in Miami and we are known for our bi-polar weather. So, if you know it’s going to be hot the next day but have a class where it’s typically cold, just bring a cute jacket that will compliment your outfit. Knowing your agenda, what the weather will be like, and how you want to feel is the three things that helps me prepare an outfit for the next day!
