RAGGED FASHION had a chance to speak with the Flower Bomb Collection founder Carteria Thompkins. Based in Miami, Fl, Carteria has been greatly praised by her customers for having good quality products. I personally met her through a mutual friend when I was as young as 12 years old, so me and her have a bit of history. I was so excited when I found out that she decided to start her own line of fashion and glam products. I figured it would be a great opportunity to host an interview with her.
Of course, with both of our busy schedules, I finally was able to catch up with her earlier this week to do the interview....

Let me start by asking....
What is the Flower Bomb Collection and what does it consist of?
Flower Bomb Collection is a boutique that sales the best quality clothes which ranges from small to plus sizes. We also sale 3-D Mink stripe lashes, Hair bundles, closures , frontals and Full Lace wigs.
When did you start this collection?
I started the Flower Bomb Collection on June 8th, 2018
What inspired you to create a Fashion collection that is catered to women of all sizes?
The reason why I started my fashion collection is because I wanted woman to be unafraid to show their figure and feel comfortable in their own skin. Yes, we all have stomach and little weight on us but don’t be scared to show off your body! I mostly did it for plus-sized women to let them know that they, too, can wear a two-piece just as well as a small person.
What inspired you to create the designs that you have for your Fashion collection?
I tried to be different and not get what other boutiques have. I love to step out on faith and be different with designs.
As a Black woman owning a business, what would you say is your biggest challenge?
My biggest challenge is finding new ways to get my business out there to the world.
What's your favorite designer brand?
My favorite designer is Milano Di Rouge.
Where do you see the Flower Bomb Collection in five years?
In five years, the Flower Bomb Collection will be a successful and well-known business with ten or more stores located around the world.
I see that you held a pop-up shop for the collection in Miami a few weeks back and it turned out to be a huge success considering that it was your first pop-up. How was that for you? To see people come out and support your business?
Yes, that was my first pop-up shop and it turned out great! I had so much support, I really put my faith in God, and it turned out a success. That was a major turn out for me to see everyone that came out to support me.
What advice would you give young entrepreneurs in this day and age?
No matter what, keep God first in everything you do, keep your faith high, and don’t give up when you get frustrated or feel as if things aren't going anywhere. Just put your trust in the Lord because we all have to climb our way to the top and it won't be easy, but you'll get there if you get through the hard part.

I was honored to do the interview with Carteria and it seems like she went through the whole process with a spiritual mentality and a humbled heart. The collection is beautiful; and, it caters to all of a girl's glam needs no matter what size you are! It's always a sight to see someone from the same hometown as your own start a business and prosper with it.
