You know back in the days when what you wore was not because of a hype but because of personal interest. Where, back in the 60s, 70s, 80s, every Tee you owned was a broader peek of your personality?! Yeah, well Marc Jacobs just reminded us of how joyous and colorful life was back then through this collection. The Marc Jacobs is a collection for the reminiscing of authentic and personal styles that we use to love back in the day.

Last night in New York City, Marc Jacobs celebrated the launch of their new line and guess who was first seen in one of the beautiful pieces??? Selena Gomez She was spotted on Jimmy Fallon’s ‘The Tonight’s Show‘ wearing “The Disco Dress” from the collection.

Inside of the collection was the collaboration of The NEW YORK MAGAZINE X MARC JACOBS. The collab consist of a remake of the logo which is another attribute to the inspiration of the collection. Clutch bags (which are my personal fav), mule heels, Tees, coats, pajama sets, even phone cases!

The collections as a whole brought a lot of colorful and vibrant patterns to surface. From the flared out jeans, which was also another favorite of mine, the grunge sweaters, to the left and right tights. It gave an ‘Edward Scissorhands’ feel with the choice of patterns and silhouette of the coats and blouses.

I wasn’t born back then, but if this was the style, hook me up to a time machine! The headbands were also a work of art, the detailing to the choice of color is greatly appreciated! PEANUTS was also featured in the collection with Lucy as the main attraction. This definitely brought back nostalgic vibes for most people. Every piece of the collection has its own identity. It’s a reminder to never forget your roots and always remain true to yourself. Overall, the collection is amazing and was well-needed.
