In school, were you the best at taking notes? It's okay I was so/so good and that's what you will need to be for this Met Gala 2019. If you don't know, the Met Gala is one of the biggest annual fundraising event in New York City, that is always held on the first Monday of May. This year it will be held on May 6, 2019. It was founded by fashion publicist Eleanor Lambert in 1948 and its in light of celebrating new fashion exhibitions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Many of the biggest names in the industry such as Rihanna, the Kardashians, Blake Lively, Amal Clooney, Bella and Gigi Hadid, and more attend this event and fashionably dress to impress. Vogue's editor-n-chief, Anna Wintour, is known to formally co-host the event allowing other A-list celebrities to be the main host. Last year, Rihanna hosted the gala and won best-dressed according to Vogue magazine.

Typically there is a theme that attendees have to dress according to and this year's theme seems interesting.... "Camp: Notes on Fashion". Now you see why you will need good note-taking skills because this year class is in session! Last year's theme was Heavenly Bodies: fashion and the Catholic Imagination which I wasn't a huge fan of but everyone looked fabulous. This year's host will be no other than the fashion icon herself: Lady Gaga and the handsome Harry Styles!!

This makes me super happy because I've been a fan of Lady Gaga since middle school (yes! I too, was a little monster) and her fashion is out of this world. Her creative vision is beyond this time period and she is not afraid to show that. Harry is known for performing in his stunning Gucci suits and I'm sure this year he will be serving a lesson or two on fashion considering Gucci will be sponsoring the Met gala this year.

I'm also excited to see the Kardashians, last year their looks were giving all me so much life especially Kim! Now, anyone can purchase a ticket, that is, if you're willing to pay $50,000! But I'm not and can't afford that (lol) but you are able to tune in on E! News Facebook live to see the red carpet and interviews. Of course, you also can keep scrolling on Instagram and Twitter as attendees update on who is wearing what!
