Your dreams are free. The hustle is sold separately! - Steve Harvey

Everyone has big dreams, but everyone does not have the discipline to follow through. Following through in its simplest form means to do what you say you are going to do! Write your goals down and make it happen. Be very specific about what it is that you want. You can do this by taking your goals and breaking them down into small entities, this will encourage a snow balling effect of daily progress. Those small victories will give you the motivation and discipline you need to continue to make each day productive and intentional.

What sets you apart?

Ouigi Theodore, the founder of The Brooklyn Circus comes to mind as the perfect example when on the subject of cultivating your own lane. When first starting his company, his goal was to “refine the image of urban America” and dreamed to “see guys hanging on the corner in suits” Williams, A.(2011) NewYork Times. This was definitely a far-fetched idea, considering he was living in Brooklyn, New York in the early 2000’s. The only definition of urban style and fashion at that time was baggy jeans and long t-shirts. Despite the cultural disconnect, Mr. Theodore’s vision and determination to re-present the way people viewed urban culture and style outweighed the noise from the critics. Today The Brooklyn Circus is recognized as one of the most influential clothing brands around the world.

Yes, there is room for everyone to succeed, but find what makes you different. “That which makes you different is actually the thing that makes you special.” -Pharrell Williams
