Quarantine & BORED? Introvert VS. Extrovert: HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OUT OF IT

Writer's picture: Alexus B.Alexus B.

There is no better time to grow and evolve internally and externally than now. Everything from malls, salons, movie theaters to restaurants, hotels and the beach has closed down temporarily. Many people are required to leave their jobs or even work from home for the time being. With all this free time what are we going to do people?!

If you are a extrovert or a introvert, I've listed a few things that you could possibly do or focus on during your free time. By the way, am I the only introvert who's life hasn't been drastically affected by this quarantine?

INTROVERTS

WRITE:

I think I can speak for all introverts, including myself, when I say that a moment of silence and your craft or just analyzing your thoughts is essential. Find some time to write down your thoughts about any and everything. It could be about the virus pandemic or even about how social distancing has made you feel, write about something funny, sad, happy.... either way write your emotions and thoughts down on paper.

EXTROVERTS

RELAX AND STAY CALM:

I know for many of you, you are freaking out because of this "isolation" you feel as if you need to be around family, friends, work family, etc. Take this time to create a new hobby that you and only you can do, see if it makes you happy. Listen to music or turn on that Hulu original you've been meaning to watch for the past weeks. A fan-favorite right now is "High Fidelity" starring Zoe Kravitz and it is quite interesting.

LISTEN TO PODCASTS:

Even though you are use to being secluded at home or in your creative space, you can also discover a new podcast show that you can listen to. It will give the feeling that you're still being social but not having to leave your space. My favorite podcast show is "Oprah's SuperSoul Conversations", it's inspirational, informative, and empowering.

EXTROVERTS:

CREATE A SELF-GOAL PROJECT:

It could be a vision board that you and your friends can show each other through video chats and have a discussion about your goals, things that you may want to collaborate on, happy times, etc. You can create two new recipes that you would introduce to your social group. With everyone home, why not stir up a tasty meal or dessert, especially for my people who barely have time to cook, you may benefit from this. Easy on the calories though :)

To all the extroverts and introverts, find some time to rejuvenate, learn something new about yourself, a new skin care routine, meditate, bond with family. Do something that even when the world stops, your vibrations keep going.
